Surgery Center of Quincy

As of November 1, 2006, the Surgery Center of Quincy, was purchased from Quincy Medical Group and became a department of Blessing Hospital. This consolidation of outpatient surgical and GI endoscopy procedures significantly reduces duplication of these services and focuses efforts to further upgrade and improve the rapidly growing surgery center business. Blessing Hospital previously performed outpatient surgeries and gastrointestinal procedures at its 11th and 14th Street campuses on Broadway. The Surgery Center facilities located on the third floor of the Quincy Medical Group building at 1118 Hampshire in Quincy now handle the majority of these procedures.

Patients of the Surgery Center of Quincy continue to receive highly skilled care from nurses who specialize in the treatment of outpatients in a comfortable, relaxed and convenient setting. State-of-the-art medical and surgical equipment provide the latest technology for the procedures that can be safely performed in an ambulatory surgery center. Blessing Hospital directs all patient financial services and billing for the Surgery Center of Quincy services and provide ancillary support for lab and radiology. Dr. John Bozdech, MD, is the Medical Director of the Center who heads a six-member physician advisory board that assists Blessing Hospital in the management and operation of the Surgery Center of Quincy.

Blessing Hospital looks forward to continuing to serve the outpatient surgical needs of Tri-State patients.
