Body Motion Center


The Body Motion Center brings the best people, technology, and resources for complete musculoskeletal care together in one convenient location. It is an innovative partnership between the Blessing Health System, Western Illinois Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center, Advance Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, and Quincy Sports & Occupational Medicine Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

Our goal is simple: To return our patients to normal function as quickly and as safely as possible. To reach this goal, the health professionals of the Body Motion Center enlist a comprehensive, leading-edge approach to the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeltal (bone and muscle) injuries.

  • Orthopedic care for all ages, occupations and interests. Treating all injuries and diseases of the muscles, joints, bones and related structures.
  • Local access to complete orthopedic surgery.
  • Physical therapy and rehabilitation.
  • Sports conditioning and performance enhancement.
  • Work related injury treatment and prevention.
  • Pre-employment evaluation and testing.
  • Specialized services for seniors.
  • Advanced imaging and diagnostics.

The Body Motion Center team provides an outstanding, leading-edge approach to the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. Our sports and occupational medicine physicians, surgeon, nurses, physical therapies and medical support personnel work with each patient to develop a treatment program specifically for them.

  • Advance Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine: Eric Ley, MPT, ATC/L; and Todd Waterkotte, PT, design the physical therapy programs to meet the needs of Body Motion Center patients.
  • Quincy Sports & Occupational Medicine: sports and occupational medicine physician James Daniels II, MD; and sports medicine physicians Jetuan Rowley, MD, and Paula Mackrides, DO. All three are instructors with the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
  • Western Illinois Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center: Ronald Wheeler, MD, offers comprehensive orthopedic services. Dr. Wheeler's training from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and Stanford University Medical Center & Children's Hospital, combined with his years of orthopedic surgical experience brings an exceptional level of care to the area.
