School of Medical Laboratory Technicians

Medical Laboratory Technician students complete a 24-month course of study including a minimum of one year (30 semester hours of academic credit) at an approved college or university prior to enrollment. Of the 30 semester hours, six hours must be in chemistry and six hours in biology with a "B" average or better.

Students complete a 12-month academic and clinical experience at Blessing Hospital. Program graduates are eligible to apply for registration by the American College of Clinical Pathologists and for a degree from their academic institution. The program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
