Illini Community Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital located in Pittsfield, the county seat of Pike County in west central Illinois. The largest town in the hospital's service area, Pittsfield, has a population of nearly 4,500. The combined population of Illini's primary service area of Pike and Scott counties is 30,000. Portions of five other bordering counties are part of the secondary service area. Pittsfield is a two-hour drive from St. Louis, five hours from Chicago, Indianapolis, and Kansas City, and an hour from Springfield, the state capital.
