Mission
The Blessing Foundation exists to raise, maintain and administer charitably donated funds for the benefit of Blessing Health System, which includes Blessing Hospital, Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing, Illini Community Hospital, Blessing Physician Services and Blessing Affiliates, or other tax exempt organizations that provide health care or conduct education or research.

History
The Foundation was incorporated in December 1982 and received its federal tax-exempt determination in October 1983. It is a charitable not-for-profit organization within section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. It is governed by an 11-member voluntary Board of Trustees, which is composed of individuals with an exceptional record of professional and community leadership. Less than five percent of the Foundation's income is spent on administrative and operating expenses.
